Weisman Window Display

In a visual merchandising class, students were placed into teams of three to design a window display (hanging display + product merchandising) for the Weisman Art Museum gift shop.  The window display had to be inspired by the museum’s featured exhibit about building community through food, called “Radical Hospitality.”  Students worked with Weisman staff members and the gift shop manager.

Our team was named the winner and got the opportunity to build and install our design in the Weisman for three months. We used small paper plates and white snow cone cups to create the hanging display. We brought in wine crates, wine bottles, and mason jars to highlight the food-related products sold in the gift shop.
